Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service as a Generic Technician. The team supports people with chronic respiratory disease, working closely with the Adferiad Service. The job involves both clinical and administrative duties, requiring travel across the Swansea Bay UHB area to support service delivery. The post holder will work directly and indirectly with patients and families in various settings.
Essential criteria
- Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 e.g. NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care
- Computer literacy/I.T. skills and knowledge
- Documented evidence of participation in training activities
Desirable criteria
- Willing to work towards Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 4 e.g. NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care or prepared to work towards.
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation & practices.
- Awareness of team dynamics and work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of the concept of rehabilitation within the clinical area.
- Basic knowledge of some conditions and the effects of illness on function.
- Ability to work single-handedly with individuals and/or groups, effective written and oral communication skills.
- Planning and organisational skills Have the ability to reflect on own performance
