Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and innovative Physiotherapist to join the team at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The successful applicant will provide high-quality assessments and interventions for patients with complex rehabilitative needs, focusing on inpatient physiotherapy services. The position requires considerable respiratory, neurology, and ward-based rehabilitation experience, with a focus on developing excellence in practice and providing clinical leadership to junior staff. It also supports the out-of-hours service.

Essential criteria

  • BSc / Grad Dip Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Post grad training courses

Desirable criteria

  • Bronze IQT
  • Clinical Educators course
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment as physiotherapist and MDT/ multi-agency working where relevant
  • Experience working in respiratory Physiotherapy
  • Experience working in neurology Physiotherapy
  • Experience of contribution to CNG or working parties.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience
  • Demonstrable teaching skills and experience
  • Demonstrable experience as a Physiotherapy Preceptor
  • Ability to work autonomously within clinical area
  • Able to lead and participate in team working and training
  • Demonstrable ability to mentor and develop junior staff

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team of staff at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality assessments and interventions to patients who have complex rehabilitative needs.

The role will involve providing physiotherapy as part of the inpatient physiotherapy services within Ysbyty Gwynedd. We are looking for someone with considerable respiratory, neurology and ward-based rehabilitation experience who is keen to continue expanding and developing their skills. The ideal candidate will have rotational and/or static experience of working in acute and community ward environments. They must have the ability to effectively manage a complex caseload of patients, excellent time management skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. This post is designed to offer support, guidance and clinical leadership to more junior members of the team and will focus on developing excellence in practice and professional delivery. It will also support the out-of-hours service, both in delivery and operational governance.
