- Department as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Evidence of post graduate dysphagia training qualification or evidence of competencies reached during undergraduate degree training equivalent to Level 5.2 on the Speech and Language Therapist eating, drinking and swallowing competency framework, 2025

About the Role:
The States of Guernsey are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapy team in Guernsey. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist assessment, treatment and management for adults with speech, language, communication and swallowing (dysphagia) difficulties across acute, rehabilitation, continuing care, community and adult disability settings.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage a varied caseload, deliver evidence-based interventions, contribute to service development, and provide clinical leadership and support to junior colleagues and students. You will play a key role in promoting person-centred care, advocating for service users, and supporting high standards of clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supported to manage a clinical caseload and provide a
specialist service to adults with speech, language, communication and/or swallowing
difficulties in acute, rehabilitation, continuing care, and community settings (including Adult
Disability) across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
