Role summary
Join the specialist Voice, Stammering and Upper Airway Disorders Team within the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. This role involves providing assessment and therapy for adults with various voice and airway disorders. You will be supported by a clinical lead and specialist, with opportunities for training and professional development. The team prioritises holistic care and staff skill development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide assessment and therapy for adults with Voice Disorders, Upper Airway Disorders and Stammering.
- Liaise with other professionals involved in patients' care as appropriate.
- Continue to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD, training, and supervision.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the support network.
- Be involved with service/quality improvement projects/research to enhance care.

Job summary
Join our specialist Voice,
Stammering and Upper Airway Disorders Team within the Community Adult Speech
and Language Therapy Service.
We are a small, friendly and motivated team
committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We welcome applications
from developing Band 5/6 clinicians interested in this specialist area. The
role offers a varied outpatient caseload including Dysphonia, Inducible
Laryngeal Obstruction, Cough Hypersensitivity Syndrome and Stammering. You will
be supported by the Clinical Lead and Clinical Specialist, with training,
supervision and opportunities to work alongside experienced colleagues.
Therapy
is delivered across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, with regular team
meetings and CPD to support learning and service development. Our wider
county-wide service has strong links with acute colleagues and a dedicated
administration team. With around 30 clinicians from Bands 4 to 8a, we prioritise
holistic care and support staff to develop their skills and interests.
