Essential criteria

- Minimum of 12 months experience in relevant specialist area
- Completion of competency package
- Good understanding of both theory and practice for orthopaedic scrub staff

The role would be that of a band 5 working in general /gynaecology surgery and orthopaedics A band 5 would be expected to take charge of a list and ensure the patient had the best, safest and efficient experience perioperatively. They would help coordinate the equipment requirements ensuring the list ran smoothly and any specimens taken were dealt with appropriately and labelled correctly.
