Role summary
Join our vibrant and enthusiastic team on Ward 2, an established Elderly rehab ward at Blyth Community Hospital. This role involves providing evidence-based multi-disciplinary care to elderly patients, helping them recover and transition back home or to further care. You will gain valuable clinical experience in an emergency care setting and acute care, working rotating day and night shifts.
Essential criteria
- 1st Level live NMC registered Nurse
- Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching and assessing of students (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period).

- D32/33
- Post Registration qualification in specialty
- Diploma/degree in nursing
- Experience and knowledge
- Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
- Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods
- Qualifications / Professional Registration

Job summary
We are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to join the team and complement our Elderly rehab ward.
Ward 2 is an established Rehab ward situated in Blyth Community Hospital.
The Unit consists of 26 in-patient beds. It will provide evidence based multi-disciplinary care Elderly patients . This includes rapid diagnostic facilities, treatment and a multi-disciplinary approach including provision of comprehensive medical assessment.
Most patients are admitted from acute sites and the aim of the Unit is to help patients on their journey to recover to the point that they can either be transferred for ongoing care, return to their own home or to further care in the community.

Main duties of the job
We would like the post holder to be an excellent communicator, reliable, honest and work to a high standard of care. Experience in Acute medicine is desirable but not necessary as full training and support will be given to the successful candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience and knowledge within emergency care setting and acute care.
_Shifts include rotation between Day and Night Shifts_
