Role summary
This role involves supporting patients with Urological conditions throughout their treatment pathway, providing direct contact, teaching, support, advice, and signposting. The post holder will undertake clinical tasks as deemed appropriate by Clinical Nurse Specialists and work as part of the multidisciplinary team under supervision. Key duties include triaging calls, coordinating patient workload, and assisting with patient information management. This is a patient-facing role crucial for patient care.
Essential criteria
- oNVQ level 4 or level 3 plus additional training to diploma level or equivalent experience

- oCoaching or teaching qualification
- oSubstantial clinical experience. oExperience of working within multi-professional teams. oExperience in use of data management oExperience of coordinating patient workload. oExperience of coaching/teaching patients and their carers
- oWithin oncology or respiratory oEvidence of dealing with people who are distressed
- oBe an effective communicator both written and verbal oBe able to work as part of a multi oprofessional team oDemonstrate good interpersonal skills oAble to use information technology oUnderstanding of patient centred care

Job summary
The Urology assistant Practitioner will form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team in caring for the physical, social and psychological needs of patients and carers diagnosed with Urological conditions throughout their treatment pathway.
The post holder will have daily direct contact with patients and their families, providing teaching, support, advice and signposting. The Role is unique and imperative to patient care.
The role will also involve the undertaking of Clincial tasks deemed suitable/appropriate to the role by the Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS's).
The post holder will work as part of the Urology multidisciplinary team under the guidance and supervision of a registered practitioner.
