Role summary
This role is for a passionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join the Community Nursing Service in Portsmouth and Waterlooville. You will deliver outstanding care to the community in a supportive and collaborative environment. The service operates 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. A full driving licence with car available for work and business insurance is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of the Community Team.
- Work under supervision following written care plans and care pathways devised by the Registered Nurse.
- Follow prescribed care plans and treatment protocols.
- Follow HPCT Policies and Procedures.
- Carry out prescribed tasks and report any variances to the Registered Nurse.
- Provide general administration support to the team and handle delegated administrative tasks for Patient Support Teams.
Essential criteria
- NVQ in Health care or equivalent or willingness to commit to training.
- Current Driving Licence.
- Working in Health Care setting.
- Working in an administrative role.
- Computer literacy.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal.
- Communication skills.
- Effective time manager.
- Demonstrates self-awareness.
Desirable criteria
- ECDL, Computer literate desirable.
- NVQ 3.
- Knowledge of working in a community environment.
