Role summary
The Senior Resourcing Assistant will provide a quality, customer-focused, end-to-end recruitment administration service. This role involves coordinating and supporting assessment centres and recruitment processes under the supervision of Resourcing Officers. The post holder will lead administrative processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice. They will also manage their own workload, prioritize tasks, and act as a first point of contact for pre-employment queries.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake the administration of end to end recruitment activity of all staff joining the Trust, including advertisements, short-listing, interviews, offer letters, pre-employment checks, and new starter processes.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate assessment centres, which may include candidate documentation checking, participating in interviews and assessment scoring.
- Ensure a strong focus on exemplar customer service and build effective relationships with recruiting managers, applicants, and colleagues.
- Manage your own workload in accordance with the trac recruitment management system to ensure all activity meets agreed key performance indicator (KPI) targets.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on recruitment processes within the Trust and investigate/resolve queries and complaints.
- Oversee the work of Resourcing Assistants and provide training and support where instructed.
Essential criteria
- oGCSE or Key Skills level 2 in Literacy oNVQ3 in Business Administration or Customer Care or equivalent qualification/experience. oEuropean Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent qualification/experience.
- oExperience of working in a busy administrative environment. oExperience of working within a recruitment team. oExperience in a customer facing role. oDecision making and resolving work related issues.
- oThorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel. oGood understanding of general office working procedures.
- oGood organisational skills. oSound decision making skills. oAble to present information to others. oExcellent level of verbal and written communication. oAble to use judgement and initiative to provide information and support. oAble to apply tact and sensitivity to establish trust and confidence. oEmpathetic approach to dealing with and resolving enquiries. oAble to analyse problems and initiate appropriate solutions effectively oAble to manage difficult and distressing situations effectively. oAble to compose correspondence and reports.

The Resourcing Department are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Resourcing Assistant to join the team
To assist in the provision of a quality, customer-focused, end to end recruitment administration service to meet the needs of allocated Speciality Groups, Departments and to support in the intake ofcandidates in accordance with Department and Trust guidelines, policies or procedures. The post-holder will co-ordinate and support, under the supervision of the Resourcing Officers the administration of assessment centres and recruitment.
Working closely with the Resourcing Management team and Recruitment Managers the post holder will ensure the provision of a comprehensive, professional, high quality and cost effective recruitment service.
The post holder will lead the administration of processes and procedures, ensuring robust auditing processes are in place to achieve compliance with and adherence to employment legislation, guidance and best practice.
