Role summary

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapy Support Worker to join a small specialist team at Murray Royal Hospital in Perth. The role involves providing specialist physiotherapy to older adults with functional or organic diseases and younger adults with various mental illnesses. You will work predominantly in community settings, as well as inpatient wards and some outpatients, covering the Perth & Kinross geographical area. The team adopts a person-centred approach to rehabilitation and recovery, collaborating with individuals, multidisciplinary teams, and families.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our small specialist team based in Murray Royal Hospital, Perth. Applicants should have relevant experience of working within physical rehabilitation services, possess excellent communication and decision making skills and have a positive approach to promoting both physical and mental health and wellbeing.

We provide specialist physiotherapy to older adults (65+) with both functional or organic diseases such as dementia, as well as younger adults (18 – 65) who are experiencing mild to moderate mental illness including anxiety and depression
