Role summary
This role involves working as a Bank Dental Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team, providing high standards of care for patients with complex dental problems. You will offer chairside and clinical support in Oral Surgery clinics, assisting with procedures, monitoring sedated patients, and managing dental emergencies. The position requires independent work, effective communication with patients and staff, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to Trust policies.
Essential criteria
- Current professional registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent with C pass above in English and Mathematics
- Recent (within the past year) chairside experience in dental practice

Job summary
To work and participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standards of care for patients with complex dental problems that cannot be treated in the General Dental Practice(s). The post holder will provide a range of dental nursing and oral surgery skills to support the dental clinic and Oral Surgeons
Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality chairside and clinical support within Oral Surgery clinics, working independently to prioritise workloads and meet patient and clinician needs. Support oral surgery procedures, monitor patients undergoing sedation, manage dental emergencies, and deliver compassionate patient care. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers, provide treatment advice, maintain accurate records using Trust systems, and ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures. Work collaboratively to deliver a safe, efficient and patient-centred service.
