Role summary
This role involves supporting the pharmacy dispensary and distribution team to deliver a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service. Key tasks include assisting with robotic dispensing, managing stock for wards and clinics, and supporting the pharmacy stores department. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient supply and distribution of medicines across the Trust, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Essential criteria
- GCSE in Maths and English (minimum grade 4)
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent e.g. Boots, Buttercups, NPA) Note: NVQ2 must be achieved within 12 months of commencement of course.
- Able to work with computers
- Experience working in a hospital or customer orientated environment
- Experience using CMM system
- Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Robot)
- Experience working in a community or hospital pharmacy, or dispensing GP practice
- Skills/knowledge/ abilities
- Able to work both alone and within a team
- Good ability to organise and prioritise work
- Able to recognise the limits of own competence and escalate to senior member of the team
- Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to the Clinical Governance and quality agenda
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office programs
