Role summary
This role is for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Cambridge North Villages Community Rehabilitation Team. You will work as an autonomous practitioner, assessing, planning, and developing specialist OT programmes for patients with complex needs in their home environment. The position involves managing your own caseload, prioritising referrals, and supervising junior staff and students to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects for your own and delegated work.
- To undertake holistic assessment (including those with complex presentations and multi pathologies) making use of clinical reasoning skills.
- To use evidence-based practice, to ensure clinical care is effective and appropriate.
- To promote independence and wherever possible to avoid hospital admission and reduce inpatient length of stay.
- Organise and manage own time, delegating work appropriately.
- To ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept which comply with the Trust policy and HCPC guidance.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate empathy for the concerns of others
- Willingness to be flexible in approach and attitude
- Have a range of mechanisms for dealing with stress; can recognise when to use them and does so
- Ability to travel independently around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area meeting required timescales. A Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Degree or equivalent, e.g. BSc, MSc or Diploma entry level qualification into the OT professions.
- Current HCPC registration
- Documented evidence of own continuing professional development
- Relevant post-graduate clinical experience in a variety of settings.

Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist, to join the Cambridge North Villages Community Rehabilitation Team based at 15 Mowlam Close, Impington, Cambridge, CB24 9NA
The role is suitable for an experienced OT.
This role is based in the Cambridge area . You would be working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment.
Main duties of the job
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
