Role summary
This role involves working as a Patient Transport Service (PTS) Non-Emergency Ambulance Controller within PTS Logistics. You will be responsible for scheduling patient transport requests using a computerised system and assisting in delivering contractual Key Performance Indicators. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Schedule patient transport requests to ambulance resources on the day of travel using a computerised system.
- Communicate effectively on all levels.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Use own initiative.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a patient/customer focused environment.
- Understanding of performance standards and customer care.
- GCSE (grades A to C) or equivalent level 2 qualification e.g. NVQ, including English or other appropriate subject/s.
- ICT literate, including good key board skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office based products e.g. Word and Excel.
- Ability to work to high standards of quality, including when working to strict deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with a computerised scheduling system.
