Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic HCPC registered Dietitian to join a friendly and supportive team at St Andrews Healthcare Birmingham. The role involves meeting nutritional needs in a mental health setting, with a focus on diabetes and weight management, and collaborating with the onsite catering team. The successful candidate will be the sole Dietitian at the Birmingham site, allowing for significant ownership and the opportunity to shape dietetic services. Support will be provided by line management and colleagues within the hospital team.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the sole Dietitian at the Birmingham site, taking ownership of the work completed.
  • Make changes and improvements to dietetic services as needed.
  • Potentially manage a small caseload of patients with eating disorder / disordered eating.
  • Work closely with the on-site catering team to tailor fresh cook catering services to patient needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, and ward teams.
