Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Paediatric Practice Development Nurse to join the Paediatric Services team. The role involves providing expert clinical leadership and specialist paediatric advice, leading education, training, induction, preceptorship, and clinical skills development. The post holder will also lead and support quality improvement, audit, governance, and the implementation of evidence-based practice and national guidance across paediatric services at Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Relevant post-registration experience in paediatric nursing
- APLS or equivalent certification
- Comprehensive knowledge of current paediatric nursing practice, including the care of acutely and critically unwell children and young people
- Significant post-registration experience within paediatric nursing, including experience within a PICU/paediatric critical care environment
- Education
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
