Role summary

Key responsibilities

- Work effectively and flexibly with colleagues under the direction of the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery), Drug & Alcohol Senior Practitioners, and other managers, to ensure that high standards of performance are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with other services to provide interventions to support and motivate service users and meet their needs through all stages of their individual recovery journey.
- Work within a strengths-based, recovery-orientated, change and outcomes and trauma informed approach which promotes service users as responsible co-producers of health, well-being and recovery.
- Adhere to and support HR processes as required under the guidance of HR, the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery) and Senior Practitioner.
Essential criteria
- Relevant degree or equivalent level of experience
- Ability to deliver individual packages of care, including assessment, recovery planning, and psychosocial interventions
- Ability to engage, support and challenge service users to enable progression towards recovery goals
- Ability to maintain accurate, detailed and timely records via case recording, data management systems and written reports
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, prison and community colleagues to ensure that interventions are integrated and service users have access to a wide range of resources
- Ability to work at a fast pace, organising and prioritising caseloads and tasks via effective time management skills
- Ability to maintain a focus on the users of services, their families and their communities to ensure that this commitment is central to everything we do
Desirable criteria
- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate group work and to positively engage participants in learning and development
- Ability to develop new projects and interventions in line with service aims, taking on a lead role as required
