Role summary

KIMS Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join their Preoperative Assessment team. The role involves holistically assessing patients undergoing surgery to ensure excellent patient care. You will perform ECGs, phlebotomy, and monitor vital signs to determine patient fitness for procedures. This position requires a passion for preoperative assessment and understanding its value in elective surgery pathways.

Essential criteria

  • Be a qualified Nurse with current NMC PIN.

Desirable criteria

  • Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.
  • Previous experience in being involved in or running pre-operative assessment clinics.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
  • Experience of using electronic pre-assessment systems.

Contract: 22.5 Hours per week, [phone number removed] between Monday and Friday (Saturday working as per service requirements)

Salary: £17,100 - £19,125 (Equivalent to a full-time salary of (£30,400 - £34,000)

KIMS Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join our Preoperative Assessment team as a Staff Nurse. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Preoperative Assessment team and will be responsible for the holistic assessment of all patients undergoing surgery at KIMS Hospital to ensure excellent patient care.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced registered nurse who is passionate about the preoperative assessment service and understands its value in elective surgery pathways.
