Role summary
This role is for a Lead Aseptic Unit Trainer Technician at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will develop their expertise in Aseptic Services, enhance technical and leadership skills, and contribute to a high-quality service. Key responsibilities include line managing senior technicians and assistants, coordinating and delivering training for technical staff, and performing technical pharmaceutical activities within the aseptic unit, including product preparation and release.
Essential criteria
- oBTEC and NVQ Level 3 Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent technician qualification recognised by the GPhC for the purpose of registration).
- oRegistered as a Pharmaceutical Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- oUp to date record of Continued Professional Development with evidence of reflective practice.
- oAccredited checking pharmacy technician or equivalent qualification.
- oMinimum five years relevant post qualification experience including hospital pharmacy.
- oExperience at any grade in aseptic services and Quality Assurance

- oCompletion of external accredited course in Technical Services, Quality Assurance or relevant area.
- oRecognised Accredited Aseptics Technician Checking Qualification for Pre and In-process Checking and Final Product Approval and Release (Accreditation will be provided as part of post if not already achieved).
