Role summary
This role is for an ambitious Senior Biomedical Scientist in Haematology at Charing Cross Hospital. You will manage daily operations, contribute to high-quality laboratory services, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- MSc, or IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma, or any of the IBMS higher qualifications
- 2 years practical experience at band 6 or equivalent, post specialist HCPC registration in relevant discipline

- Management qualification or relevant experience
- Skills/knowledge/ abilities
- Practical analytical skills associated with diagnostic laboratory work
- Demonstrate a commitment to service improvement and innovative practice
- Ability to develop and write policies and procedures (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures), relating to specialty section
- Evidence of experience of quality management systems, audits and document control
- Previous experience in a large busy pathology laboratory
- Able to supervise more junior staff in a professional and competent manner
- Experience of Audit assessment
