Role summary
This role involves providing comprehensive nutrition and dietetic services to the Integrated Diabetes Specialist Service. You will contribute to education programmes, develop and update departmental policies, and lead projects and audits within the diabetes service. The position requires active participation in the Diabetes Team, planning health promotion events, and supervising junior staff, while working flexibly across Northmid and the community.
Essential criteria
- oBSc in Dietetics 4year degree course or equivalent
- oState Registered Dietitian with HPC
- oBDA member

- oKnowledge of general medications
- oKnowledge of government strategy for diabetes service.

Job summary
Provide a comprehensive Nutrition and Dietetic service to the Integrated Diabetes Specialist Service at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust - North Middlesex.
Explore and support the continuation of patient care within available workload capacity. Contribute to the development and delivery of education programmes for Enfield residents, primary care teams, and Trust staff. Work collaboratively with the clinical lead to develop, implement, and regularly update departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures. Lead and actively participate in projects, research, and audits within the wider diabetes service.
Actively contribute to the Diabetes Team and support the day-to-day running of the service. Plan, organise, and coordinate health promotion events both within the service and in the community.
Promote effective multidisciplinary working, ensuring close collaboration between acute and community teams.
Use advanced communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, patients, carers, and other service users.
Be responsible for the supervision of allocated junior staff, with ongoing daily support and regular supervision provided by team leads.
To work flexibly in response to service needs, to provide cover to across Northmid and community.
