Role summary
This role is for a Senior Design specialist within the Communications and Engagement Team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will lead the creation of high-quality visual, digital, and multimedia content for various communication activities. The role also involves supporting a proposed Kent-wide NHS design programme, collaborating with other NHS organisations. You will manage multiple design projects, ensuring delivery to agreed standards and timescales, and provide specialist advice on design approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and production of corporate publications, reports, presentations, campaign materials and information resources.
- Develop creative concepts and visual identities for campaigns, projects and organisational priorities.
- Produce digital content for websites, intranets, social media, email communications and online platforms.
- Create and edit video content, animations and multimedia resources.
- Provide specialist advice on branding, accessibility, user experience and visual communication.
- Coordinate design projects and requests that form part of the Kent NHS design programme.
Essential criteria
- A degree-level qualification in graphic design, digital design, visual communications or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience

- NHS or public sector communications experience
- Qualifications, training and experience
- Substantial experience in delivering complex creative and design projects across print, digital, social media and multimedia channels, using industry-standard design software including Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Recognised project management training or qualifications

- Substantial experience in managing complex projects and work programmes across multiple teams or organisations, balancing competing priorities and stakeholders, and providing specialist advice to senior colleagues and partners.
- Knowledge and skills
