Role summary

This role is for a Band 5 Staff Nurse at Arnold Lodge Hospital, a medium secure forensic hospital. You will provide person-centred care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, acting as a named nurse for patients and leading shifts. Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring high standards of care and supervising junior staff.
  • Act as a named nurse, making primary nursing assessments and attending CPA meetings.

Essential criteria

  • RMN (RN(M)) or working towards mental health nursing qualification

We are recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our teams at Arnold Lodge Hospital

Arnold Lodge Hospital is a regional medium secure hospital and part of the forensic care group which includes other Low, medium and high secure services. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of person-centred care.

We are seeking to recruit B5 RMNs to join our fantastic and well established multi-disciplinary teams. As a staff nurse you will be allocated to a ward and work as part of a skilled team of nurses and Healthcare assistants providing safe and effective care to our patients. You will have named nurse responsibility and oversee the care of a small number of patients allocated to you. You will lead and coordinate the shift and be able to prioritise and delegate responsibilities as necessary. We are looking for staff nurses who are compassionate but who have a firm and fair approach. Working in forensic services can be challenging and you will need to be hardworking and resilient.
