Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a newly-built 8-bedded male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The Clinical Team Leader will undertake a dual clinical and leadership role, acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager and playing a key part in day-to-day ward management. They will support, supervise, and manage staff, assist in delivering outcomes, and lead specific initiatives. The unit provides high-level care for men experiencing acute mental disorders with significant risk.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit who is able to work effectively and dynamically in a busy and demanding setting.
Haven Male PICU is a newly-built 8 bedded male PICU that provides a high level of effective and compassionate care to men who are experiencing the most acute phase of a serious mental disorder and behavioural disturbance. Our service users may present with significant risk of harm to themselves and others, as well as vulnerability from others.
You will be supported closely by the ward manager and wider team who will provide a comprehensive induction programme for a Clinical Team Leader joining the Psychiatric Intensive Care service.
