Role summary

This is a key leadership role within the Corporate Performance Team, focusing on developing and implementing the Trust's performance management framework. The Senior Performance Manager will ensure delivery of regulatory, contractual, and organisational priorities, working with various stakeholders to strengthen assurance and support high-quality, patient-centred services.   • Highly developed analytical skills in the interpretation, manipulation and analysis of complex data in order to identify trends, exceptions and variance to facilitate evidence based decision making/action planning on performance issues.
  • Excellent IT/keyboard skills, particularly in relation to creating, formatting and manipulating databases and spreadsheets and preparing complex analysis
  • Excellent numeric skills with an understanding of basic statistical concepts such as correlation.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate highly complex or highly sensitive information where other leading opinions may conflict or there may be barriers to understanding.
  • Ability to make judgements which require analysis, interpretation and comparison across a range of options.
  • Ability to make judgements on whether performance appears reasonable to determine whether further action or intervention is required to achieve targets
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to present performance information and delivery training on performance management to a wide range of staff.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to deliver clear, logically constructed and factual based focused reports.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines for own work and those of direct reports
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and motivate staff within the team and the wider organisation in terms of the performance agenda
  • Experience of gathering and documenting data requirements and the translation of technical specifications to clinical processes and how these align.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Performance Manager (Band 7) to join our Corporate Performance Team within the Strategy & Transformation Directorate at Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a key leadership role at a pivotal time for the Trust as we embed our Integrated Performance Approach and deliver Our Journey to Change. You will play a central role in shaping and driving the Trust's performance management framework, ensuring delivery of regulatory, contractual and organisational priorities.

Working closely with the Head of Performance and Associate Director of Performance, you will collaborate with colleagues across clinical, corporate and partner organisations to strengthen assurance and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.
