Role summary
This role is for a Band 5 CAMHS Practitioner within the Getting Help Pathway at Rotherham CAMHS. You will conduct timely triage, brief assessments, and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with emotional and mental health needs. Essential criteria
- Professional qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work with current professional registration.

- Experience of working with children and young people - for newly qualified staff this could relate to placement experience
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting
- Excellent communication skills
- A thorough understanding of the mental health needs of young people
- Ability to relate well to young people
- Knowledge of relevant legislation guidance and good practice
- Basic information technology skills
- Child development
- An understanding of local and national issues relating to children's development and mental health
- Awareness of the dynamics of multi agency team working
- Awareness of safeguarding children processes
