Role summary
This role is for an experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the Respiratory Outpatient Physiotherapy service. The successful applicant will work predominantly at Royal Berkshire Hospital, with some spoke site working, and will run Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Key responsibilities
- Ensure a high standard of clinical practice for patients under your management and support junior staff.
- Receive referrals and independently assess and treat own caseload of patients, ensuring evaluation and progression of treatment programmes.
- Have clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and prioritise work efficiently.
- Formulate and deliver specialist individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice.
- Deliver physiotherapy in different locations, according to the requirements of the post.
- Provide recommendations and advice to the MDT, including peers and consultants, and external organisations.
Essential criteria
- NHS experience across all core clinical areas
- Respiratory Physiotherapy experience
- Experience of carrying out complex functional assessments and treatments
- Specialist knowledge of current evidence based best practice in respiratory Physiotherapy
- Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
Desirable criteria
- Experience of supporting students and junior members of staff
- IT skills including word and email use
- Knowledge of NHS structure
