Role summary

This role is for a Band 6 Physiotherapist within Defence Primary Healthcare, providing a comprehensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation service to entitled military personnel. The successful candidate will undertake highly skilled and specialist work in musculoskeletal and sports injury areas. It involves assessing patients, formulating individualised treatment plans, and managing a clinical caseload. The position is based at Rock Barracks, Suffolk.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries.
  • Use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent, understanding of conditions, and maximise rehabilitation potential.
  • Manage and prioritise own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.

  • Must have relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions. Completed the relevant courses and experience that would be equivalent to graduate diploma level of study. Post-graduate clinical experience.
  • A Degree in Physiotherapy.
