Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Band 5 HCPC-registered Radiographer to join a dedicated team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive diagnostic imaging services across both hospital sites as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Undertake a broad range of diagnostic radiographic procedures to a high standard, adhering to protocols and professional guidelines.
- Produce and evaluate high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring safe and effective examinations focused on patient needs.
- Assess, prioritise, and organise own workload, collaborating with colleagues to support patient pathways.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
- Participate in the departmental out-of-hours service, including on-call and shift working, after completing a preceptorship program.

- DCR/BSc Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC Registration
- Evidence of professional up-to-date knowledge
- Evidence of up-to-date technical knowledge
- Evidence of Paediatric practice
- Knowledge of radiation protection legislation, procedures and policies
- Up-to-date radiography skills
- Able to communicate with patients, colleagues and other departments in an efficient, coherent and professional manager
