Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Booking Clerk within the Access, Booking & Choice Team. You will provide a comprehensive booking service for outpatient and inpatient appointments, ensuring excellent patient experience and accurate data recording for national pathways. Duties include liaising with patients and departments, registering referrals, booking appointments using various systems, and managing waiting lists. The department operates flexibly over 7 days a a week, requiring the ability to work evenings and weekends.

The Access, Booking & Choice Team have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual looking for a challenge in a post that is both interesting and varied.
The department is the central hub for outpatient and inpatient booking, and operates flexibly over 7 days a week. You will be responsible primarily for providing a comprehensive booking service, whilst additionally completing all associated tasks to ensure our patients receive an excellent first impression, whilst ensuring all necessary data is recorded to facilitate the patient's attendance management under the 18 week and national cancer pathways.
Duties will include liaising with patients and internal departments over the telephone, registering patients and their referrals, booking and confirming appointments/admissions using LE2.2, Somerset, Choose and Book and ORMIS, dealing with enquiries, using waiting lists to manage patients, escalating capacity requirements, filing and other general clerical duties
