Role summary

This role is for an experienced and dynamic Ward Manager to lead a 25-bedded Stroke Rehabilitation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and development of effective systems to enhance patient safety and quality of care. They will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The manager will also implement clinical protocols and drive service improvement initiatives to ensure patient-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation.

Essential criteria

  • Nurse with current registration on Part 1 of the NMC register or Therapist with current HCPC registration
  • Degree in Nursing or BSc in related topic
  • Significant experience as a team lead or shift lead at Band 6 or higher in a ward setting
  • Experience of effective management of staff/ teams including management of conflict, performance, competency and sickness
