Role summary
Kettering General Hospital is seeking experienced Bank Phlebotomists to join their team, delivering outstanding care to patients. This role involves working closely with the Phlebotomy Manager and providing cover to various Phlebotomy facilities across Wellingborough, Irthlingborough, Corby, or Kettering. Applicants must have current NHS phlebotomy experience and a full UK driving license, as travel is an essential requirement. The position requires a flexible attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high quality care across all locations of our Phlebotomy sites.
- Undertake shift patterns which can differ to meet the needs of the service over a 7 day week.
- Travel to Wellingborough, Irthlingborough, Corby or Kettering as the service requires.
Essential criteria
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- Phlebotomy qualification or experience
- Knowledge / Experience
- NHS Healthcare work experience
- Ability to overcome communication barriers
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Ability to use Microsoft package
Desirable criteria
- Experience of receptionist work
- Experience of clinical systems
- Able to update records both written and computer
- Ability to deal queries both face to face and on the telephone
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow and adhere to strict SOP's
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time
