Role summary
Sherwood Forest Hospitals is seeking a motivated and experienced Radiographer to join their leadership team as a Lead CT Radiographer. This role involves supporting the delivery of a high-quality CT service across the Trust, contributing to its management and development, and providing leadership to a dynamic team. The successful candidate will primarily be based at King's Mill Hospital but will support CT services across all Trust sites, including the new Community Diagnostic Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or established leader to shape the future of diagnostic imaging.
Essential criteria
- Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/ degree/post graduate study
- Up to date knowledge and awareness of professional issues
- DCR or BSc (Hons Radiography)
- Evidence of further study
- Leadership Experience supported by courses

- Management qualification
- Training
- Broad training in general radiography to include A&E, orthopaedic and theatre work
- This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD
- IT skills
- Teaching qualification
- Supervisory experience
- Teaching skills
- Significant experience of working at a Band 6 level. This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD.

Job summary

The successful candidate will be based primarily at King's Mill Hospital but will be required to lead and support CT services across all Sherwood Forest Hospitals sites, including our state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) CT service at Mansfield Community Hospital. The service benefits from recent investment, including the installation of a new GE Revolution Ascend CT scanner, providing an excellent environment for both staff and patients.
