Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Understand all aspects of a patient's pathway from referral to treatment.
- Add/remove patients on the Patient Tracking List (PTL) and ensure bookings align with the Trust Elective Access Policy.
- Ensure PTL records are accurate by cross-checking with patient letters and case notes.
- Actively manage administrative processes associated with patient pathways and review clinical team functioning.
- Work effectively within the onsite validation team to validate and correct pathways.
- Provide extensive feedback on validations and maintain an audit trail of daily validations.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Achieved Grade C in English Language & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
- Previous experience in RTT validation.
- Previous administrative or clinical experience
- Use of Electronic Patient Record or other hospital patient administration systems.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Ability to work well with other departments and staff groups.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook
- Ability to use initiative
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
Desirable criteria
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
- Knowledge of iCS, Sunquest ICE, CRIS (PACS) or similar hospital systems.
- Good knowledge of the processes within a hospital setting.
