Role summary

This permanent full/part-time Obstetric Sonographer position is based at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves working in various ultrasound departments, managing daily operations, prioritising patients, and delivering high-quality patient service. The successful candidate will also mentor and supervise students and newly qualified sonographers, with support provided for those newly qualified.

Essential criteria

  • Experience working in an imaging department
  • Evidence of experience in Quality and Safety and Clinical Audit

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in an ultrasound department as a qualified sonographer
  • PGDip/ PG Cert in medical ultrasound or DMU
  • State Registration with HCPC /or equivalent in midwifery/ or if neither of these are applicable, registration with The register of Clinical Technologists on qualification
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Technical knowledge for a range of ultrasound systems including image manipulation and trouble shooting.
  • Experience with operating and managing I.T. systems including patient management, reporting and picture archiving systems.
  • Understanding of Information Governance, Quality and Safety, and Confidentiality
  • Experience working in an imaging department
