Role summary

Essential criteria

- Ability to communicate with members of the public and health care providers

Job summary
We are creating a team of experienced Health Care Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people with cognitive impairments such as dementia and delirium, mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism. This team is part of a pilot who will deliver therapeutic enhanced care which involves a higher level of supervision such as 1:1 care, providing care to patients and in addition providing activity based support, for example playing a game of dominoes, reading a book to the patient, using prompt cards of past experiences to prompt memories and conversation. These interventions support patient recovery when experiencing distress or have complex needs.
