Role summary
This is an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a Band 7 registered Pharmacist to cover a secondment for 6 months. You will support and develop staff and services, further enhancing established dispensary clinical services. The role requires good problem-solving, time management, organisational skills, and excellent communication. The main base is at RSH Hospital, with potential work at SGH site.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise, teach, and provide clinical leadership within the team.
- Utilise negotiating and influencing skills.
- Demonstrate initiative and teamwork.
- Work with a wide range of people including patients and doctors.
- Represent the pharmacy at service user meetings.
Essential criteria
- Master's degree in pharmacy
- GPhC registration
- Sound knowledge of a surgical or medical speciality (for example TB or mental health) acquired working within a suitable specialty
- Meets RPS Foundation pharmacist framework/ GLF competencies
- Audit and evaluative work
- Aware of current registered premises and CD legislation, and legalities
- Experience of delivering teaching or training to staff

Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience
- MRPharmS (member of the royal pharmaceutical society) or equivalent
- Working towards RPS Advanced Core portfolio submission
- Training in medicines information
- Preparation of guidelines/policies/procedures-
- Tutor or mentoring skills
- Leadership or management/supervisory experience/or qualification in foundation management
