Key responsibilities
- Providing education, advice and monitoring for patients with a wide range of rheumatological autoimmune diseases.
- On-going surveillance and efficacy assessment of disease management with appropriate medical intervention.
- Undertake nurse lead clinics.
- Assisting with associated research studies.
- Liaising with the local and regional multi-disciplinary teams.
- Providing support for both patients and their families in both the hospital and community setting.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse / Midwife
- Post-basic specialist Qualification relevant to speciality
- Recognised Teaching Qualification
- First Degree
- Demonstrable Post-Reg. experience
- Evidence of undertaking the relevant speciality successfully at Band 6
- Extensive clinical experience
- Evidence of the application of management / leadership skills and managing staff
