Role summary
This role is for an experienced, passionate, and compassionate Staff Nurse to join dynamic nursing teams across Older People's wards. You will develop clinical skills, gain valuable experience, and be supported in individual development goals. The position involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care for older people, working alongside supportive teams, and contributing to the RUH Nursing Strategy. Key responsibilities
- Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, acting as a named nurse or key worker.
- Assess care and health education needs for patients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans, including discharge planning.
- Gain experience and develop skills in clinical practice, facilitation, teaching, management, and leadership.
- Contribute to the delivery of the RUH Nursing Strategy.
- Act as a mentor, preceptor, facilitator, and role model for less experienced staff.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
- Knowledge in age-related health conditions and their management, e.g. falls prevention; pressure ulcer prevention; polypharmacy)
Desirable criteria
- Previous nursing experience in elderly care
