Role summary
This role supports the Quality Control and systems Manager in the daily operations of the Quality Control laboratory and Quality unit within the Pharmacy department. The primary responsibility is to ensure pharmaceutical products manufactured by Pharmacy Technical Services comply with regulatory requirements and are safe for patient use. Key duties include analysis, review, and reporting of test results for various pharmaceutical components and products. The post holder will also assist with environmental monitoring of clean rooms and maintain laboratory documentation.
Essential criteria
- Minimum 2 years of QC experience and knowledge of analytical instruments like HPLC, UV-VIS, FT-IR, iCAP etc.
- Microbiology knowledge

Job summary
This post is to provide direct support to the Quality Control and systems Manager in the management of the day to day aspects of the Quality Control laboratory and Quality unit. The Quality Control section of Pharmacy department is responsible to ensure pharmaceutical products manufactured in the Pharmacy Technical Services department are compliant with regulatory requirements and safe for sale and supply to other Trust and for patient administration.
Main duties of the job

Analysis, review, interpretation, and reporting/quality approval of test results of a wide range of raw materials, packaging components, consumables, intermediates and final products.
To undertake and/review environmental monitoring of the Pharmacy clean rooms at NPH and other sites as necessary.
To assist in the establishment, maintenance and updating of comprehensive laboratory standard operating procedures, protocols, worksheets, and documentation and maintenance of full records of testing of all raw materials, packaging components, intermediates and finished products as necessary.
To assist with practical and theoretical training of permanent and rotational staff in the QC section.
