Role summary
This is a full-time, fixed-term Rehabilitation Assistant role within the MSK outpatient Team in Ealing. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting physiotherapists and advanced practitioners to promote patient independence and meet rehabilitation goals. Key duties include assisting with exercise sessions, equipment management, and administrative tasks. The role requires travel across the borough, so a driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.

- Good level of general education (GCSE Maths and English)
- Evidence of continuous development
- Competency in mobility assessment and equipment provision

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good Time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently but with the supervision of a physiotherapist or occupational therapist
- Ability to work in stressful environment with distress, emotional or aggressive patients /carers
- Commitment to personal and service development
- Use of Systm One/ Excel
- Supporting and delivering exercise classes and/or individual exercise programmes
- Previous work experience of working directly with patients
- Community experience is desirable eg working with patients with long term conditions, Musculoskeletal conditions & mental health needs.
- NHS experience is desirable.
- Understands how to use gym/exercise equipment safely and able to demonstrate
- Understands principles of safe exercise

Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for a Full-time Rehabilitation Assistant to work within the MSK outpatient Team. We are part of the Maximising Independence service line within Ealing Community Partners (ECP).
Rehabilitation Assistants work as part of the multidisciplinary team, working closely with physiotherapists, Advanced Practitioners and other service rehabilitation teams. We provide rehabilitation in outpatient healthcare setting environment with a focus on promoting independence, meeting rehabilitation goals and reducing care needs in the community. Rehabilitation assistants are integral to running our patient groups within Ealing Borough.
This is an exciting opportunity for a rehabilitation assistant who already has some experience of working with patients in an acute or community healthcare setting to expand their skills and work within a friendly and supportive community team.
Ealing Community Partners is a group of NHS, Ealing Council and voluntary organisations working together to deliver community health and care services for the people of Ealing.
