Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on delivering population-based mental health care in Worcester City, working with highly specialist practitioners and local Primary Care Networks. It offers a chance to engage with new models of community mental health care delivery in England. Flexible working and some remote work may be considered.
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of principles of assessment of people with mental health problems.
- Knowledge of principles of risk assessment and management.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
- Skills and Abilities
- A positive attitude and able to act on feedback.
- Ability to praise and be supportive to others.
- Delivery of evidence based interventions in mental health.
- Experience of working in a Mental Health setting.
- Assessment of people presenting with mental health problems.
- Assessment and management of clinical risk.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Managing own case load.
- Relevant professional qualification relating to Health or Social Care e.g. in social work, nursing, OT with current professional registration.
- RMN, BSc/DipSW, BSc OT.
- Recent evidence of continuing professional development.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificate to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a Mental
Health Practitioner within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team for a fixed
term contract of 6 months. This role will focus on the delivery of population-based
mental health care for the community of Worcester City. You will be working
alongside a team of highly specialist practitioners and have direct
relationships with the professionals within the local Primary Care Networks
(PCN). If you are seeking a role that will encompasses new ways of working that
will be the future delivery of community mental health care in England, then
this is an opportunity you should not miss. Consideration will be made for
flexible working and there may be some opportunities for staff members to work
from home where clinically possible.
This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific
purpose that we anticipate will be required for 6 months. We reserve the right to end this contract
sooner with appropriate notice
