Role summary
This is a permanent, full-time or part-time opportunity for a Clinical Trial Assistant to join a research team. The role involves providing administrative support for clinical research, including data management, identification and resolution of data queries, and working according to regulatory requirements and Trust policies. You will be involved in all stages of the research process, from study set-up to close-out, ensuring studies are delivered safely and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting data management activities, including collection and uploading of research data.
- Assisting with the identification and resolution of data queries.
- Working in accordance with current regulatory requirements, Trust policies and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Being involved in all stages of the research process, from study set-up and recruitment through to study delivery and close-out.
- Providing essential support across a range of research activities, helping to ensure that studies are delivered safely, effectively and to a high standard.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level in English, Math and IT. Pass at grade C or above (or equivalent experience)
- Evidence of previous administrative experience
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail in written documentation
- Ability to confidently communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting
- Previous experience of working within a team
- Ability to use a variety of computer software systems
- Awareness of own limitations
- Ability to work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to concentrate with accurate data collection and input to Case Report Files
- Acknowledging ethical issues related to daily work
