Role summary
This is a full-time vacancy for a Production Manager within the accredited Sterile Services Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The role involves the day-to-day management of the department, ensuring personnel, plant, and resources are organised for the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical equipment. The manager will be responsible for providing sterile procedure packs to Endoscopy and the NHS Trust. Experience in a Sterile Services unit is preferred, but training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sterile Services Department.
- Organise personnel, plant, and other resources to meet current and future needs of the Trust and stakeholders.
- Oversee the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical equipment.
- Provide sterile procedure packs to Endoscopy and the NHS Trust.
Essential criteria
- Track record of achieving high service standards and delivering objectives
- Skilled in affective business planning to meet future national and local strategic requirements
- Experience of successfully leading and developing teams, with previous line management responsibility
- Skilled in product and service design, including data management
- Be able to manage and deliver project objectives
Desirable criteria
- Have a thorough understanding of current decontamination practices and processes

Job summary
We have a vacancy within the accredited Sterile Services Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for 1 full time Production Manager.
Working hours to be discussed at interview.
You will be responsible for the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments and providing sterile procedure packs to Endoscopy and the NHS Trust.
Experience of working in an accredited Sterile Services unit is preferable. However training will be offered to right candidate.
