Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified registered nurse to join a community team covering Warwick & Kenilworth. The role involves providing high standard nursing care and health promotion in clients' homes and clinics, managing long-term conditions, wound care, and end-of-life care. The team offers full support, training, and career development, including a comprehensive 12-month preceptorship for new qualifiers. You will work collaboratively within a compassionate and supportive team.
Key responsibilities
- Act in accordance with safeguarding guidelines for vulnerable adults and children.
- Undertake first contact assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reassessment of care plans.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursing workload and delegate appropriately in the absence of a Senior Nurse.
- Provide skilled clinical nursing practices, including wound care, catheter care, and management of long-term conditions.
- Develop and maintain effective communication networks with service users, healthcare professionals, and other organisations.
- Direct supervision of junior members of staff and participation in their development and mentorship.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse
- Experience of adult general nursing.
- Experience of working in a team environment
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equal opportunities
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all aspects of the role
- Computer Literate
- Able to work autonomously within the framework of a team
- Must be able to work on own initiative and be able to supervise other staff effectively
- Ability to be an effective communicator
- Excellent role model
- Must be a non-smoker during working hours
- Must be willing to undertake a DBS to Enhanced / Standard level
- Must be legally entitled to work in this country
- Must be car owner/driver with full current driving licence with independent access to transport for work purposes
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including Bank Holidays and weekends and be able to participate in the cover of the evening service if required
- Must be willing to travel across SWFT
