Role summary
This is an exciting new fixed-term role for a Discharge Co-ordinating Psychosocial Recovery Worker at HMP Foston Hall, a female remand prison. The role involves supporting individuals leaving custody, particularly those with short sentences or brief stays, to achieve recovery and positive outcomes. You will provide psychosocial interventions and work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality drug and alcohol recovery services. The position requires a dynamic and experienced individual passionate about substance misuse support in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 Health and Social Care (or commitment to work towards) and/or relevant experience in a comparable setting.
Desirable criteria
- Relevant training/qualification in associated field ie, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief solution focussed therapy, Mapping techniques, Auricular acupuncture trained, SMART Recovery
- Experience of integrated working practices.
- 12 months minimum experience of working with substance users
- Experience of criminal justice field / prison setting
