Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Band 6 Acute Services Rotation within the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. You will deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy to adults across diverse acute clinical settings, assessing and intervening for complex communication and swallowing needs. The role spans two hospital sites, offering experience in Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuro-oncology, Acute Medicine, and Stroke, including participation in the Stroke weekend working rota.
Essential criteria
- Speech & Language Therapy Degree
- HCPC Registration
- A post-graduate dysphagia qualification to at least RCSLT level C.
- Evidence of specialist post graduate CPD relevant to clinical area..
Desirable criteria
- Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Significant post graduate experience of working with a wide range of acquired swallowing and communication difficulties.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience of using Microsoft Office and other IT packages
