Role summary
This role is an exciting opportunity to operationally manage Rotherham's Older People's Community Mental Health services. The Team Manager will provide expert operational and clinical leadership to staff, patients, and carers, working collaboratively across agencies. Key responsibilities include promoting quality environments, ensuring care standards, improving patient experience, and achieving performance targets. The role also involves providing clinical and management advice and coordinating staff training.

- Confidence to discuss patient management / express difference of clinical opinion with other members of the multiprofessional team.
- Willingness to sensitively challenge & effectively address ineffective/weak/poor practice/systems where it/they occur.
- Being a strong role model & leader, inspiring others to deliver safe, effective and personal care every time.
- Experience of engaging in service/quality improvement/evaluation work, research and or clinical audit.

- Experience of working in a broad / diverse range of care settings / services / organisations.
- Experience of collaborative working across agencies and professional disciplines.
- Experience of providing supervision to staff.
- Experience in managing Complex Cases and Risk.
- Knowledge and understanding of older people with mental health problems and/or dementia
- Experience of working in mental health settings including older adult services
- Knowledge of essential physical health care for people experiencing severe mental illness. assessment & management.
- Professional Code(s) of Conduct & requirements.
- Diploma / Degree in relevant qualification
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Evidence of Statutory & Mandatory Training
- A recognised qualification in Clinical Supervision.
- Leadership/management qualification.
- Evidence of ability / capability to study at Post Graduate level
- Passionate and committed to staff well-being and supporting people who use our services.
- Experience of providing a range of evidence-based interventions to people with a variety of mental health problems and serious mental illness.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop & educate other members of the multi professional team to improve patient care & outcomes, leading by example.
- Strong liaison and negotiation skills.
- Competent in the use of IT / computer work-based information & care record systems.
- Skills acquired in a breadth / diverse range of care settings / services organisations.

Job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to take up an exciting and innovative post to support the needs of the local population living with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holder will provide operational management to Rotherham care group's Older People's Community Mental Health services. The Team manager will work in a collaborative and multi-agency way and develop multiagency and multidisciplinary operational frameworks and structures.
This role provides expert operational and clinical leadership and knowledge within the teams, for staff, patients and carers. The role will work with with a variety of roles including Nurse Consultants, Nurses Occupational Therapists, Healthcare support workers, Doctors and other external and internal stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the operational management of the Older People's Community services, including teams such as Care home liaison Team, Physiotherapy, Young Onset Dementia service, Intermediate Care and Older Adults Community Mental health team and to support Transformation and service development.
