Role summary
This role involves coordinating volunteer and service user involvement pathways across Hampshire for Inclusion, part of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. You will recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, apprentices, and trainee recovery workers, ensuring they are confident and supported. The post also champions service user involvement, embedding co-production and peer-led activities within teams. You will promote Inclusion Hampshire to partners and external agencies, raising awareness of volunteering and involvement opportunities. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of both the Volunteering and Service User Involvement pathways across Hampshire.
- Recruit, induct, train and supervise Volunteers, including Volunteer Recovery Workers.
- Provide line management, development support and supervision to Apprentices and Trainee Recovery Workers.
- Promote involvement opportunities for people who use our service, helping embed coproduction and peer-led activity.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contributing to a consistent, inclusive and recovery-focused involvement offer.
- Develop and deliver training packages for volunteers, staff and partner agencies on substance use, lived experience involvement and Inclusion Hampshire service provision.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in the drug and alcohol field
- Line management experience and/or evidence of leadership skills
- Commitment to Co-Production & Empowering Lived Experience
- Strong Understanding of Professional Boundaries & Safeguarding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop strong professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Confident in designing, delivering and facilitating training sessions
