Role summary
This is a part-time permanent Consultant Psychiatrist post within the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU) at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The role involves delivering mental health care to critically unwell patients, working collaboratively with general adult psychiatry colleagues, and participating in an on-call rota. The successful applicant will join an established team and contribute to service development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care within the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU).
- Work collaboratively with general adult psychiatry consultant colleagues.
- Provide robust handover as patients progress into general adult wards.
- Participate in the non-resident South Glasgow & Clyde on-call rota.
- Potentially contribute to service development as part of the NHS GG&C Strategy for Mental Health.
